(i am electronician), I bought, and built th k8016 function generator
and it does not work , I ent it for repair, the sey it was not correctly built
as far as i checked they did not do anything as a repair(no fresh soldering…)
backhome, it is still not working
at store they did nothave the ready made one, nor the usb version
I tried on different pcs,
I checked the power suply (12v 1500ma should be enough)
I disabled pnp support
I even bough a new lpt extension on pci
it is not working at all
not even powering on I never saw any of its led turning on
can someone helpme out?
Is there a special trick to make itwork?
I tried to tweak differents settings around the lpt1, I restarted the pc like a thousand time, with no luck
I AM DESPERATED
First of all, please send me the RMA nr (included paper).
Kits as the K8016 and other PC scope are mostly tested here by 2 persons on 2 different PC’s, so we must find out what’s wrong with your genereator. False contacts are a possible reason why it’s OK here and doesn’t work at your place.

hope it is the right one, there is no serial number on the device itself
what is weird is that they said it was not correctly builtbut i checked as it was back from the store
they did not do aything on it, nothing was changed
they did not tell me what precise part was not mounted correctly either
