K8005 Stepper motor & K8000

Hi, could someone tell me is it possible to force the stepper motor to rotate the number of steps required to turn 180degrees then automatically reverse and rotate 180 degrees in the opposite directions when using the K8000 to reprogram the K8005?

Have a general knowledge of electronics and visual basic and was hoping this was possible for me to do.

This is possible if you can write the necessary software.
Please note that the K8005 is a ‘mature’ kit, software is no longer developed/upgraded.
Works fine under Win98, but not higher.
