I tried to understand K8004 construction…
According SG3525 specification I have, it seems to apply
allmost full supply voltage to FET gate. Further, specification
of FET states max. gate-source voltage -+10v. At gate there
seems to be a zener back-to-back over voltage protection,
however at the cost of huge current to gate if SG3525 is
supplied by max. allowed 35V. I expect something to blow…
Is there some “hidden” mechanism to prevent this?
