K7200 broken again

Hello,

A few years ago I got my Velleman K7200 (power supply 0-30 V, 0-10 Amps) working with the help of this forum, but now the supply again causes troubles.

It is very difficult to adjust the voltage, especially around the 12 V, when the internal relay is switched. Then there is a voltage drop-back. It is almost impossible to set an exact voltage around the 12 V. The regulation used to work very smooth.

A second problem is the current adjustment doesn’t work anymore: it always gives the maximum output of 10 amps, even if the pot-meter is set to the minimal current. The RED current limiting LED only turns on in case of a true short circuit.

Any suggestions where I should start to solve these problems?

Thanks,
Bart

We are afraid that these problems can have many causes.
It is almost impossible to solve these from a distance.
We can offer inspection/repair if you return the unit to your distributor
