I have build the metal detector and when I try co calibrate the kit, the led stays on.
I have resolderd and rewinded the coil (120 windings for a-b and 40 windings for c-d), changed the battery, and changed the capacitor (C1), but nothing works. Does anyone know what’s the problem?

Can you link to some hi-res and sharp pictures of your assembly (both solder and component side) so that we can take a look?
I think that I have the solution!
Could it be that you need to remove isolation on the end of the wire?
When I do this, I can turn the light off and detect metal on 1,5cm.
Hello, isolation? the tape is concerned, the solution proves ok.
