K6501 Remote control by telephone - number of rings:

Normally the device pick up the phone after ca 8 rings. If you want the device to pickup quicker, the manufacturer said to push manual operating button before switching on the power supply. That is not always possible, because the power often fails.

Is there any way (or to modify the shematic) to get pickup after 3-4 rings?

Sorry, this is not possible as the processor is not equipped with eeprom.
You could make sure the power never fails by running the unit from a battery and keep this battery charged with a trickle charger.
