I have built 2 k6002 modulals

I use these kits to turn freezers on and off to keep them at a desired temperature range for beer brewing.

but on both kits i have the same problem. the controller will hang up and fail to function normally untill restarted. some times it only happens once a week other times it can happen twice in a single day!

One kit has had the contacts suppressed with a VDR, but this does not help.
The kits are switched on perminantly and powered by adapter plugs.

any ideas?

This is a difficult problem to solve. First of all, you need to determine if the reset is caused by the power supply or by the relay contact.
Disconnect the relay contact. If it no longer resets, then you know the relay contact is the cause of troubles. Try adding a second relay, which is controlled by the on-board relay.

hey, i am "using " the k6002 for my kegerator or at least trying to. did you have any problems with the relays not working at first, my relays don’t work. the reset or your 6002 can be backed up with a battery power supply. i think you can tie in a 5vdc power supply in an other than reccommended terminal.
