K4700 : how to connect it?

Hello,

Can you help me ?
i have two 4700 kit to connect behind two mono power amplifier to protect my loudspeakers.
Each power supply for power amplifier is +34V 0V ( asymetrical supply) : must i mount 1w R23 to R26 resistors or not ? (in french notice it’s not very clear
)
Each power amplifier is based on CL3 classe D module which have differential output and must not be especially connected with the mass.
Is the infosheet_k4700_mono.pdf the right one and
where do i connect the reference off 4700: on 0 volt of power supply or on
the ground off the input Cinch off my power amplifier?

thanks a lot

In a certain edition of the manuel there was an error in the french translation, so please check the english version.

Single supply amps have a ground and a positive supply.

Symmetrical amps have a ground, a positive and a negative supply.

thank you. But i need some précisions.
I have connected each 4700 kit to my amplifiers without mounting the 1 Watt resistors because someone told me my classe D module amplifiers (CL3) didn’t have to be connected with a reference to the ground.
So, when i switch on the ampli, the K4700 detect a CC, the red led is always on and the relay never shut : it’s a normal working of the K4700 because have 17 Volt beetween each outputs of my mono Amplifier and the negative supply (the ground), which is the reference of the kit 4700 to detect CC. These 17 V cc beetwen outputs and negative supply are normal working for this CL3 module ( V supply / 2 on the outputs).

Will it be a solution by mounting the 1W resistors?I m afraid it provoke dammages to my classe d amplifier (CL3 module) .
May be those modules CL3 are not compatibles with K4700 ?

Sorry , my english isn’t very good

We are sorry, but we do not have any experience with this kind of amp. We suspect it is an asymetrical supplied bridged amp, which is not compatible with this kit (DC protection part of the kit, turn-on delay will work). In this case, D7 and D8 should not be mounted. Apparantly, the manufacturer of this amp is out of business
