K4306 Led Voltage

Any help please, I have purchased a K4306 Kit
(2 X 15 LED Stereo VU Meter)
All is working fine, I just wondered if anyone could advise me if it would be possible without damaging the circuit (and relatively easy) to change the led output voltage from 1.5 volts to 3 volts in order to change the led’s to the brighter type

The led’s that I would like to use are 20mA @ 3V

There is no such thing as changing the ‘led voltage’. Leds are operated with a current, not a voltage. Please check the datasheet of the applied IC. It will tell you which resistor you should change in order to change the current that flows through the leds. It will also tell you how to calculate that resistor. Using 3V leds (blue or white probably) should not be a problem, in my opinion.
