K4306 - General Questions

Good day everyone, I just purchased the K4306 (my 1st Velleman product) and have some general questions regarding its operation settings. I am planning on installing it in the dash of my vehicle in an empty DIN slot under my radio.

  1. Can the Low Input be connected to the RCA Outputs from my radio?
  2. My RCA outputs have a max rating of 4V, can the K4306 be adjusted to get all LEDs to illuminate at max volume?
  3. How easy is it to switch from dot to bar mode? Would rewiring be involved or can a switch be used?

I have some basic electronics knowledge but I haven’t built anything since I left college about 6 years ago…

  1. Yes. (Do not connect it to speaker outputs)
  2. Yes.
  3. Yes. Jumper can be replaced by a switch
