Is it ok to use 225va instead of 160 into 2x 8ohm’s?
The power is not important, as long as the voltage is correct.
The inputs on my K4006 say red yellow blue and grey but the secondary windings on my transformer are orange-yellow and black-red, the blue and grey are a primary winding why would it want me to attach a primary winding to the K4006?
Most toroid transformers have red/yellow/blue/grey secondaries.
Apparantly, yours is different.
You will have to figure out which colours correspond to the above mentioned colour scheme. Check the label or the box of the transformer.
DO NOT attach any primary leads to the K4006.
If the secondary’s go like this: (+)yellow-orange(-) (+)red-black(-), then do i connect them to the k4006 in that order or both negative ends to the ground in the middle with the positive ends on the outside or some other way? I thought i got the hang of electronics but this transformer has really got me confused.
