K4003 Power Supply

Hey,

I’d wish to know can I use a 120VA 2x18Vac ringcore transformer for this amp for more power? I have heating issues on the transformer thats 2v12Vac 50W, which I am using now for my K4003.

Rest in peace Randy Savage.

Hey, Can someone advice me with this, I have sound signal coming to MK190 and trough it to K8084 and from that it comes to K4003, everytime I switch off the MK190, from its on/off-switch, there is a loud a loud buzz sound, about 2 seconds from speaker, This time when I used this switch the Sound was terrible and I heard pop from the K4003 and saw its TDA2616 chip burning! So what kind of on/off switches I should Put? Would be any help connecting ICs mute pin or the mute option on the K4003 board? Is the 120VA 2X18VAC transformer too much for K4003`? And what is the correct order to turn off the AMPS/PREAMPS? I got sound signal going from MK190 also to another K8084, and from that it goes to K8060…

The specs for the K4003 are
supply voltage: 2 x 12V AC / 2A (50W transfo recommended)

Re-open an old issue:

I purchased K4003 (2*30Watt) with K8084 (Volume and tone controls).

I would like to use 2 IBM laptop powersupplys, but there output is 16V, instead of 12Volt.
Would the Amp go up in smoke?
I know that the manual says 2*12v…

But is there a a margin

Kind regards.
