K4003 - How do I power it?

Can anyone tell me very simply how to power this from mains?

I mean whats the simplist way? Would this work?

store.qkits.com/moreinfo.cfm/PS1220

Or if I HAD to use one of those internal transformers how would it all hook up?

Say I buy a 12V 50VA chassis mounting mains transformer. I wire that up to the PCB, then I can wire up a DC input jack so it looks like:

Amp PCB > Transformer > DC input jack

What type of mains plug would I use to feed into the DC input jack because they are all transformers anyway right?

Any help is appreciated! Pictures and links would be useful

This kit needs a SYMMETRIC supply.
Please check the manual. It features 3 very clear drawings on how to hook up a power supply. It does not work with a single supply wall adaptor.

Ok so I must use a transformer but that does not answer this part of my question:

Thanks!

If you insist to use a DC jack (not recommended) then you will have to look for a 3-pin jack (very hard to find). Inserting or removing the jack while the power is on can cause the amp to fail, therefore we recommend fixed wiring.

Ok, so I will not use a DC jack. I will wire it directly but to do this (bear in mind I am from the UK) should I just use a standard 3 pin plug and wire up the Live, Neutral and Earth to the transfomer?

Yes, but transformers do not feature an earth lead.
If you use a metal enclosure, ground the enclosure.

Hi again.

Is this the correct way to wire the transformer up?

If the information you supply is correct, we assume that this will work.
Do not connect the earth to the gnd.
