K2625 usage details- how to use it

in the kit K2625 i saw the manual and iam planning to purchase it. But i didn’t understand its operation how is it connected to engine ? moreover can we use it measure the speed of rotating motor? or synchronous motor ? please clear it. This is really important for me . :frowning:

i mean how do u connect the tachometer to the engine whose speed u r checking? To what is that IN terminal connected to??
awaiting anyone’s help…

Meter connects to primary side of ingnition coil.

Hi. I’ve got the k2625 kit, but I don’t understand how it can “measure the number of revolutions or the number of movements per minute of any rotating or moving mechanical part”.
this seems to me, that there should be something else connected to INPUT.
can you help plz. I didn’t find any related kit that could be connected to the tachometer that would allow it to read revolutions of some mechanical part.

thanks

You need a device that puts out a positive 12V pulse every rotation.
Sorry, no such device in our range of products.

so how can I read revolutions or number of movements of any mechanical part, if the measured mechanical part is not powered by electricity or I don’t have access to it’s electrical parts and power input? and any reader module was not included.

please don’t tell me that it was lie in the manual and device description on the cover.

This item is sold as a revolution counter for petrol engines. For this pupose, it does not need external components.
If you would like to measure the speed of a part that does not feature a pulse per rotation, you need an external transducer, either optical, inductive, magnetic or other. As mentioned before, these are not part of our range.

And can you advise where I can get such a transducer that will fit?
or how to make it?

I bought it just because I thought that everything will be included (except power supply)…
