K2625 ploblem with range calibration

good evening
I buy your kit K2625 and I do everything well, I’m sure, I’ve checked it many times
I want to use it with an engine 1 cylinder 4 T so I must calibrate it at 6.000 rpm
Before calibration it display right “00”
I calibrate with a 50 Hz 13 Volt transformer but the range displaied was 10-33 max (not 01 - 99 as in the manual)
So reading in this forum I’ve found to change the RV2 trim from 50 Kohm to 220 Kohm and the range change from 10 to 99 but not stable: when I put a value it change continuosly, example: if a try 60, it change continuosly from 53 to 62 to 56 to 60 or other values
I suppose that you haven’t check this kit for all the values in the manual’s table 1.

Please help me because the kit is not very cheap and I need it very urgently

thanks & Bye Michele

If you have an oscilloscope, check signal at collector of T1.
If necessary, reduce value of C12.

unfortunately i haven’t an oscilloscope and I can’t check signal of T1; but I have tried to reduce C12 to 82n, 68n, 56n, 47n and 10n but don’t happens nothing: around 6000 rpm it continue to be unstable, it change continuosly value.
Note that this don’t happens if I try calibrate it around 4000 rpm or 7000 rpm in these cases it is stable

Waiting from you Thanks & bye

Sorry, at this time we do not know what might be at cause.

Is very difficult and expensive for me send you the kit from Italy to Belgium, but I’m sure that you can check one similar kit and find the problem; I’ sure that my kit is mounted correctly, also my reseller tell that it is Ok and that the problem is on the project.

I think that is a very good thing that Velleman make everithing for the satisfaction of his clients, even where is problems that can be resolved for the futures kits: it should be a gold medal for you.

best regards

Michele

the circuit can’t count correctly the rpm and it can’t display from 01 to 99 because…
