K2543: Use on modern cars?

It seems to me that this unit can not be used on modern cars since they do not have contacts or breakers. I see the message in the manual for electronic ignition but where would the connection be made in that case? I’m considering purchasing this unit but am hesitant.

No, it’s only for “old-timers”, or motors that still have contacts or breakers.
