Hi, I have one car with this module, in the first time the car stopped, I have controlled and i have see the resistor 3,4,5, browned and the welds are gone… after i have change the alternator because the voltage is high about 16,8 Volts. I have buy another kit and a I have reinstalled all, but the problem is the kit from the starting it’s all ok about 4-5 minutes when the resistance are very hot the kits have problems and about 1000-2000 rpm I have misfire…
I try to replace the 3 resistor with one of 50 Ohm 15W but the problem is the same…
Now I have an motorcycle with 2 kits, for 3 years works good… now in these days the same problems of the car… when the engine, and the kit is hot… i have misfire… If is possible to help me!! thanks

Difficult to tell without being able to examine your circuit.
Anyway, 16,8V is way too high and wil cause excessive heating.
Please note that you cannot replace R1, R2 and R3 with just one resistor.
