If I want the player to immediately start playing sound file when power on through main power input
do I need the LCD ? If so when power is off does the player find the sound file again or do I have to
press sleep mode button ? Which LCD is suitable ?

Yes, you need the LCD.
When the power is turned on, the player starts to play starting from the first MP3 file in the root folder.
If there are no files in the root folder it starts to play from the first folder. No need to push the button.
