Helping Hand has been very useful during the assembly of the Valve Amplifier K 4000. The unit is up and running beautifully!! I hooked it up with a Bose sub-woofer and speaker system , and the result is just perfect!!
Now I am working on the pre-amplifier K 4100. It is almost ready, but I ran out of PCB connector pins and guess what: it is impossible for me to find them on our local market.
Another issue is that all 20 cinch connectors are heavily corroded and became useless. Isn´t there a gold plated version with the same physical characteristics, so they will fit on the PCB without problems?
At least, there is an IC marked ICM 7555 IP/S i8607 in the kit. So far I could not find out where it belongs. Do you have a hint for me?
Is it possible to order PCB connector pins and gold plated cinch females for delivery by mail?
Thanks again for your help.
Sorry, no direct sales, please turn to a Velleman distributor.
Order code for gold plated cinch connectors: CINFP/90
PCB pins: PRINTP
The IC ICM 7555 is not part of this kit.
Hi, sorry, I cannot help you with your connectors. In the past I have used a simple solution … by cutting the paper clips to the size and fixing these to the board and soldering them, one has to careful though that the holes on the mother board are not too big, I am sure you know that.
I have a similar amp which I bought recently from ebay, the person who sold this to me told me that it was working perfect. Right channel does not work, I thought it was the TDA7304 gone, I managed to obtain a new one but alas, it is not this IC, something else wrong, I have no idea where to look, I have resoldered all the joints thinking it might be a dry joint somewhere and have checked all the tacks. Can you help?
Best of luck with your project.
Regards
Amar
