Issue with printing, slicer setting

Hello,
i have some issues with my printer, respectively with the slicer (settings).
Maybe I dont understand what and why its happening.

When I test print the below model, everything works quite fine, until it reaches the top.
As you can see the printer makes some (at least in my opinion) unessaaray movements (lowering the bed, moving somwher, wait, wait longer, etc). As directed by repetier (cyan colorlines).
I guess it has something to do with the retratction.
In the result, i get some bad results. During these movements, the filament gets stuck in the extruder. My print is lost.

I do not understand why he needs to do this and not just finishing directly the print, without parking, moving or whatever.
What is the purpose of this? is it intentionally, and how can i get rid of it?

Thanks in advance

Have you tried to rotate your model a bit before slicing?

Did you download the model? If so, did you try fixing the stl? (with Autodesk Meshmixer for example)

It’s definitely a problem with the software and not with your printer.
Try to slice this model in Cura and see if the problem exits their too.

Cheers,
Dylan

The reason is too short layer time and Cura orders printer to wait for print to cool down (called “resting”).

You can reduce “Minimum layer time” to 1 second (or 0s) from Filament / Cooling settings in Cura.
This naturally does not speed up the cooling, but disables the resting. Then improve cooling by adding fans and ducts to direct airflow on the print.

Perfect thank you for you explanation. I tried everything exepct for this filament setting.
Now i have to find a setting that will work.
