Hi there,
I just purchased an WFS210 and tried to use it with my IPAD3 recently updated to the latest IOS 8. Unfortunately there are some severe issues on that: The app is completely unusable as everything runs very slow. Touching buttons results in reactions only after 5-10 seconds if there’s an action at all. The app runs fine in demo mode and the WFS210 runs fine when connected to a Windows PC using the windows software. Is there any way to troubleshoot the iOS installation? Are there known issues? Unfortunately I own no android device to test if it’s workuing there. Anyhow it was the purpose to use the device in combination with an iPad. At the moment: no fun : (
Kind regards
Stefan
Hi,
I moved your post to a new topic.
For the WFS210, does this problem occur when using the app after a certain amount of time or is it right away?
If you launch the app is the Volt/DIV setting on off? If not then there is a bad connection between the scope and the tablet.
And maybe you can check on which channel the wfs210 is broadcasting. If multiple wifi networks are on the same channel weird things could happen with the data transmission.
And possibly slowing down all the networks. You could check this by searching for an app that analyzes wifi networks. If the wfs210 is broadcasting on the same channel of another wifi network. Try restarting the scope. Each time it boots its searches for the best available channel.

Thanks for these hints:
The problem occurs right away on starting the app.
V/dif shows “off” for both channels. When trying to change it takes lots of seconds to do this but it’s not really usable at the stage.
WLAN channel is No. 8 - theres absolutely no other WLAN nearby using this channel (I checked with an WLAN monitor on my fritzbox).
Any ideas? I heard about general issues regarding WLAN on iOS 8 maybe I am trapped here…
Is there any lag when using the windows software (wifi connection and usb unplugged)?
Did you try to completely restart the app(double click the home button and swiping the app away)?
There should be an update online on the app store with a bug fix.
Great news,
I just tried the update and the main issue is solved now: It’s still a bit slow in reaction but it is usable. I assume, that we still have an common issue with ipad3 and ios8 as we can read in many apple support forums : ( let’s hope that is.1.1 will solve the issues with wan.
many thanks, great product !!
