There is no problem with the kit.
Most likely you made a small mistake.
Erase all codes of the receiver (see manual for how-to instructions)
Change code of transmitter (see manual for how-to instructions). Make sure that you did not mount any jumpers on the solderside.
Learn transmitter to receiver.
