Impossibility to slide 298mm Ø8mm ROD through the Ø8mm TOP TUBE BEARING

Hello,

I have a big issue to mount my k8400 3D printer.

I can’t slide the 298mm Ø8mm ROD through the Ø8mm TOP TUBE BEARING of the printhead.

The extremities of the rod are bigger than expected.

Velleman SAV sent me to this forum.

Did it happen to someone else?
Could sand down the extremities solve the problem?

Yes, I had this issue too.
If it is the end of the rod causes trouble, you can chamfer the end with a file. But if it’s the whole rod that’s too thick, you have to ask Velleman for a new one.

Will the other rod slide through it?
This would tell you if it’s the rod or the bearing.

Hello,

I tried to chamfer on 1cm but it’s still blocked.

The other rod slide easily in the 2 bearings.

Thanks for your views, I’ll ask support from Velleman.

Hello.

For velleman: I created a ticket some days ago.

Could be nice to answer me. I have a decorative 3D printer on my desk.

Thanks.
