Im new to all this

I have just put together our K8200. Im not great with electronics so go easy on me please! Everything powers up fine and I can connect to the printer fine. Ive been going through the online instructions for the build and have got to the bit where I have to move the axis in the manual tab up by 10mm. However I get an error in the log of

Printer stopped due to errors. Fix the error and use M999 to restart. (Temperature is reset. Set it after restarting)

Ive also noticed that the printbed is showing a temperature of 738.80 degrees centigrade - which clearly is incorrect. A screenshot of repetier is below

Have I got a damaged bed thermistor? Searched the forums but nothing seems to match

Thanks!

It is more likely you have a short in the thermistor wiring.
Remove the plug from the Board and measure the resistance across its pins. (on the plug not on the board)
It should read around 100kOhm.

If it is way less, check the wiring and check if the thermistor is not shorted by solder.

Great thanks I will try that. Is it the one plugged into HEATER 2 with 4 wires?

No, the heatbed thermistor is plugged to THERM2. (2 pins)
