Ignition Kit K2543

My transistor ignition is firing the spark “opposite” of when it should, i.e. the spark is fired when the contacts close as opposed to what they should - just when the contacts open.
I done all the visual and physical checks I can, and see nothing wrong. Could any of the used components be at fault? Any good ideas are most velcome.
Thanks
Carsten.

More info about the system and the installation would be useful.

Thinking about your symptoms are you absolutely sure that you have connected ignition coil primary winding negative ground to the module point 3 and not the positive lead that energizes the coil primary winding?

It seems like your ignition coil primary winding is currently getting electricity through the breaker contact points…I can’t come up with any other solution no matter how hard I try thinking normal ignition system with breaker contact points and what could lead to the behaviour you have described…
