HPS50 Screen problem

Hi
I have a Velleman HPS50 Hand Held Personal Scope that has stopped working.
screen does not show the image properly.
I can see that there are things going on when I press the buttons but I can`t read or watch the result. I have tried to reset the instrument and let it run out of power so I could recharge it.
hold the reset button for 10 sec.

When I start it, it shows a big blue box, and after a while the layout appears.
the text and numbers on the bottom is in blue boxes.

instrument was purchased in June-03-2012

Did you try running the unit from a power supply instead of the batteries?
Did you try to adjust the contrast?
If the problem persists, please return the unit for inspection/repair to:

Velleman Projects Tech. Dept.
Legen Heirweg 33

Yes, I’ve tried with two different power supplies.
and adjusted the contrast. No effect.

I exeminated some cases on related issues, And discovered a replay from Velleman Support
(VEL417 Case: HPS50 (Dodgy?))
" Sorry to read you experience problems with our HPS50
Opening the unit to disconnect the battery will not void the warranty.
However, if this does not solve the problem, them I’m afraid you will have to return the unit for inspection/repair/exchange…"

So I opened the unit on a ESD safety surface (with ESD bracelets) and disconnected the battery waited 10 minutes.
Same symptoms!!!

When I send the unit, I’ll just send it with a print out of this forum? is there anything else that should be included??
Power Supply ?
Measuring Probe?’
USB Cable?

I only have the socket to Norwegian outlet, the others are sent to recycling, since I thought that they would never be used.

A printout of this conversation is fine.
Please do not send any accessories, just the scope.
