We purchased an HPS140 from CPC a couple of years ago.
We used it once and then it was shelved as we had no use for.
On trying to use it for the second time (within the last month) we discovered that the screen is blank (sometimes with a black rectangle).
I am aware that this is a couple of years old but I am sure that you will agree that it is reasonable to expect it to work more than twice.
Is there an update or bug fix that addresses this or do you suspect that it is a hardware fault.
From what your description it sounds as if the battery is dead.
If you let it sit for a couple of years the battery maybe bad.
