I monitored the charging current expecting it to fall when the battery was fully charged. It started at 150mA, dropping to 130mA within a few minutes and staying at 130mA for ever! Well, 7 hours anyway. So I couldn’t use the charging current to indicate the charging state of the battery. I suggest you could do with an accessory to show the charge state.
