I have had my HP140 for a couple of years now, but yesterday the display went crazy on me. The display suddenly turns upside down and inverted (mirrored)!! Is this a known issue? And if so, is there any solution?

Check if C56 is properly soldered and maybe add a bit of solder to the pads. Corrosion or mechanical force could break the connection.
This capacitor makes sure the LCD get’s a proper reset.
You can also send the unit for inspection/repair.
