How to use I2C for a device (ex MPU6050 gyro) on pin A5/A4?

I understood that A5 pin is used for motor shield, consequently forbidden the use of I2C connection. It’s a shame, especially, when you want to build a self balancing robot, for example.So, How please can I manage this issue? which shield modification? …

It’s a shame indeed.

But to fix it: remove (or don’t mount) R9, R10 and C3 (10k, 100k and 22uF). You’re good to go I2C now :slight_smile:

Only drawback: you can’t sense external power on A5 anymore. But you can still reroute it to another analog in pin if you’d like to…
