How to improve brim settings

Hi,

I’m getting close to perfect results with my setup using Cura 14.12.1, but I have a question about the brim settings. If you look at the picture i’m getting pretty good brim lines but the problem is that they are not touching! Which means that they are little use in holding the object down to the bed.

I have tried increasing the initial layer thickness and line width but somehow this only spaces the brim lines further apart.

Any help would be welcome.

Sorry to bother you. I have already found the answer (thanks Google!)

I had to adjust the Initial Layer Width from 200 back to 110%, I forgot I changed this. Here’s the difference:

(ignore the white stripe caused by overextrusion at the start of the print, i’m still fixing that but it doesn’t interfere with the rest of the print so it has no priority.)
