Just finished the build no problems, but there is an awful noise when I auto home. Sounds like the belts are lipping over the teeth.
As many have reported, the X (as I remember, not a the printer now) are really loose.

Solved itself by using springs from clothes hangers. But the kit really should include something like this:

I have the exact problem - at the very end position of “auto home” there’s a nasty and loud buzzing-type noice. Have tried the above without any luck. I’m suspecting that there’s something wrong with an end-stop. Going to keep trying…
I had the exact same problem. It’s the belt slipping over the toothed part on the rod. I loosened the small screw in them and moved them around a bit (really hard to describe where just keep moving it around) until the problem no longer occurred. That’s how I solved it, but you should make sure your XY carriage is aligned. Hope this helps!
