Help with measuring at low freqeuncies

Hello, I’m using my new scope to set amplifier gains. I am having no problems measuring voltages at higher audio frequencies above 1khz. The scope autoscales quickly and the curve stabilizes well. If it try to measure similar voltages(same volume/gain) at 40 or 60hz, I get scramble, like it’s trying to trigger/lock on, but rarely seems to be able. (ever once in a while it does, but usually not). Voltages are in the range of 4v-18v, and the probe and meter are set to 1x, with auto scale. The source audio files are all from the same production, just different frequencies.

Is there some method to aid in this measurement, or a setting I might have missed? Or does this device not accurately read in this range?

Thanks in advance

Hi

We did try to reproduce your problem but we couldn’t reproduce it.

You can return it for inspection to your distributor or direct to:

Would the low frequency compensation adjustment be relevant to it actually being able to trigger, or does using the trim tool on the probe just affect accuracy?
