I have purchased a universal start stop timer K2579. I get the idea, but I am not experienced with circuit assembly.
Can you please advise on how I connect the device I want turn on and off to the K2579. which happens to be a small 2 terminal solenoid. I can’t understand what the A B C points are at the relay end of the board?? and no indication what they do?
I am considering the 8015 board. as it has more scope. but my query remains the same how to make the solenoid actuate via the on / off button(s) using a battery, or via 12v dc adaptor from mains. I do see the + - signs, but thats as far as my knowledge will take me.
A is the common, B is the normal closed contact, C is the normal open contact.
(See page 8 of K2579 manual)
Wire the normal open contact in series with solenoid.
(+ of battery to A. C to solenoid. Other side of solenoid to - of battery)

Ideally I need the on off button to be remote, the 8015 model seems to allow for this easier at the terminals.
Do you think it is possible to have a remote waterproof switch pad with three buttons in line to fix in place, one button as a 2 sec on time, one with 5 sec on time, and the last as a 30 sec on time. and all being able to switch off if any of the buttons pressed again after activation. This would be my holy grail for my needs to action the solenoid.
And finally without pushing. I know I must use a 12vDC transformer 300mA max to the circuit board, but the power source is from a 110v, from a big yellow builders transformer previously from mains. There is no earth from the machine power cord wire, I need to draw the power from, just live and neutral. which runs a small electric motor.
Otherwise if it’s hard I can connect it to a small battery. or directly to 240v mains via a seperate power cord. Please advice what is most suited to the circuit. The 110v option direct from machine would be ideal, since I could just split the existing wire and run the circuit when the motor is plugged in.
