Heater Stuck On

Hello,

I have a dual head vertex and after rebuilding the right hot end after a blockage the heater is stuck on. Even when I unplug the cable loom going to the head the light indicating it’s heating stays on on the motherboard. For this reason I don’t think I’ve shorted anything on the head. Updating the firmware does not seem to have helped either.

I am in the process of printing a large commercial order so it’s really important that I get this fixed as soon as possible. I welcome any responses and thank you for your time!

When you updated the firmware did you use Arduino version 1.0.6 or lower?

Yes, I followed the instructions on the Vertex website.

I’ve switched to the other head for now but I really need to get this problem resolved! Is there a way to contact the Velleman engineers more directly?
