Heated bed K8400

Hello!

I’m very interested in buying a 3D-printer in the near future and have started investigating the K8400, which seems to be a nice printer in many ways. However it doesn’t have a heated bed, which is something I want to have in order to be able to print ABS objects with a satisfying result. My question is therefore, are there (an official or third-party) heated bed that fits the K8400 and is able to reach satisfying temperatures for ABS (which from what I understand is around 110 degrees Celcius)?

If there are, can the included power supply power it, or do I need to buy a more powerful one, are there anyone that is recommended? Furthermore, how is the connectivity to the driver board? Is it easy to connect and control a heated bed?

At this time there is no official heated bed.
We are investigating the possibility of offering a heated bed option.
Most likely it will need a separate powersupply.

Thanks for the fast answer!

Does anyone else know about a good third-party solution (as long as it’s ok to discuss this kind of modifications in this forum)?

Many among the forum have already installed one.

Here is a procedure to do so : see the Wiki.

In this thread, Marlak can provide you with a wider bed covering the whole surface but it will need a more powerful PSU (250W).
