Guess what: Windows 8 again

I keep trying using again a USB board K8061 on a new PC/Windows 8, superb piece of engineering.

Everything is done, pilot updated, dll etc… copied to the right folder, card said to work fine by Windows,
but still not detected by the test software and others.

What shall I try next ? (yes I know: I should get back to my old PC and throw that one thru the… window, but…)

Thank you.

Have you tried to install the “K8061 driver update v4.0.0.0” from:
velleman.eu/support/download … 8061&type=

In the package there are new driver, new DLL and new demo software.

Instructions how to test:

  1. In the Device Managet uninstall the K8061 driver v.1.0.0.6 (dated 19/12/2007).

  2. Unplug and plug the K8061 card.

  3. Install the new driver from folder K8061Driver_v1.0.0.2 (dated 24/08/2009).

  4. In Device Manager make sure the driver v.1.0.0.2 is installed

  5. Go to folder K8061Demo and run the K8061_Demo.exe

Yes ! It works.

Don’t know what wrong I made before, but it works with this new pilot.

Thank you very much.
