hi I have velleman MK194N FM radio kit and it is not working l do not have any solder bridges and believe it is all correct but when l turn it on l just get a slight sound as though it is trying to working but not even the LED is lighting up and l have taken great care regarding + - connections
would love to hear your thoughts

From a distance it is difficult to say where the error is, without being able to see the kit.
There may be a problem with the FM module, or a component has not been placed correctly.
Check again with the manual in particular for polarized components: IC, voltage regulator, transistor, etc.
Possibly the voltage regulator is interchanged with transistor? check also this.
However, if it still does not work, you can take it back to the store for repair.
