First few layers won't print

Hi.

Sorry, new to the 3d printing scene!

For some reason my K8200 just will not print the first few layers when it prints.

I’ve tried increasing the skirt/brim options and I’ve heated the extruder up to 190, manually turned the gear to feed through PLA. But every time it comes to print, it’s moving, thinking its printing and nothing is coming out! Once the first few layers are over, it suddenly kicks in and starts printing. A little frustrating - It’s also not a very consistent or even print, very globular, if that makes sense!

Appreciate any advice anyone has on this!

You posted in the K8400 forum, not the K8200;).

What layer height did you use for your first layer?

Did you calibrate the Z axis correctly?
