Firmware change when replacing hotend to 1.75mm

Hi,

Does anyone know what firmware adjustments need to be made when changing the hotend to 1.75mm?

I have recently replaced the hotend to support 1.75mm and it seems that the printer works, so the first layer is printed ok but the following layers not.
It seems that there is not enough plastic flowing trough and the distances between the print walls are too big and don’t stick together.

I’ve tried to modify all the relevant settings from the slicer but with no success.

Is there anyone here that knows something about this? Or at leat point me in the right direction?

Hy,
you dont have to modify the firmware if you use original extruder. Just change diameter of filament in Repetier or other slilcer, decrease also the retractation distance a little bit.

Thanks for the answer! The diameter was changed but it seems i left the retraction distance to 5.
I set it afterwards on 2 and it works great.
