Finally good dependable prints

I guess we all have been there.
Prints don’t stick and everything feel so very disappointing.

And we all have looked around and thought, right.
Personally I posted how to use sugar water to make the print stick.
Yes, it did work, sort of. But not good enough.

Now I finally have got it right.

The rest of your settings do things you want, or don’t want.

Two settings are paramount, the only two that really matters.

(OK, polish the heat plate to a shine helps.
As does putting a perplex plate on top of it.
In a week or so I will get the specially ordered hardened glass plate;
special in that I added a through hole up at the home position.
That mean excess, ooze, etc will stay out and away from the nozzle.)

Print Settings / Infill / Infill / Top/bottom fill pattern: Hilbertcurve

Print Settings / Infill / Advanced / Infill Before Perimeters

With those two settings the nozzle will work very well. Very well indeed!

The hilbertcurve pattern makes for short and held together extrusions by side to side adhesion.
By doing infill first you both get a good bottom adhesion as such and…
…somewhere for those otherwise pesky perimeters to hold on to.
From start to beginning…

And… Don’t be tempted to External Perimeters First.
That would sort of make the good initial work go to waste.

With the above two settings I have done both 200µm as well as 1mm prints.

Happy Printing!
