Fillament snaps between spool and extruder

its happined a couple of times now
when i want to print i sometimes have to replace and throw away a peace of fillament

the fillament snaps between the spool of fillament and the extruder.
i have tried to make the spool rotate more easy using bearings but i didnt help mutch.
does anybody know how this can happin and what i have to do t prevent it?

cind regards,

Does this happen while you are printing?

If it’s happening over night you may want to put the extruder up to 100 - 150 mm.
It happens to me but I forget to raise the extruder.

I had the same situation, especialy at the start of a printjob after a period of rest.
My feeling, is that the piece of pla that is between the extruder and the rol, is heated a little from the heat of the printbed which comes off it, then cooles down and becomes brittle.
I do not encounter this anymore, since my roll is 1meter away from my printer. Don’t know for sure, but it is easy to try.

it happins overnight
and you mean just the park position of the extruder right?

Yes
When you raise it it will take the stress off of it
Speaking of that I forgot again last night
So guess what I have to do

No problem at all.

Glad to be of assistance.
