Filament won't load

I am new at 3D printing. Bought my first printer, K8400, a few days ago. Assembling it was easy. Even succeeded in upgrading it to M1.0V1.1. Loading right side filament (first extruder) was easy also.

The problem occurred when I tried loading filament on the left side (second extruder). The sequence starts as on the right side but when the display says “loading filament” nothing happens. The motor on the left side won’t turn and as a result the filament does not get loaded.

How can I diagnose the problem?

I guess I can start printing using only the right side? But I would like to be able to use 2 colors.

thanks.

Make sure the cables are firmly inserted into the motor and on the board.
The new driver card that you installed is 180 degrees of the others installed.
Make sure it is installed correctly.

switched the motors (replaced the two extruder motors at each other places) and checked all the cables and the small board, no improvements, motor on left position won’t run.

Try to switch the driver boards and see if the error follows the board, if not then you can rule out the driver board failure.
Notice that the driver board for the second extruder is oriented 180 degrees in opposite of the other driver boards as Wrong Way mentioned.

switched the driver boards and the problem moved with them. My conclusion is that the driver board is broken. Contacted my dealer already. Hope they react quickly.

Thanks guys!
