I have just received my brand new HPS140i handheld oscilloscope. Unfortunately, I seem to have got a faulty usb charger, the led does not come on when I plug the charger in. I have measured the output and it is only 4.97 volts. My understanding is that this charger should be outputting something like 9 volts to able to charge the internal battery. I have contacted support@velleman.be and the only suggestion I got was to go to this forum! Could you please advise how I might go about getting a replacement charger.

I don’t know why you were sent back to this forum since you clearly mention that you have a defective charger. Please, send your contact details to support@velleman.be and request a replacement charger. This should be absolutely no problem.

Mind you that we most of us are on holiday, so it may take a while for a response/replacement. As an alternative, maybe you could simply go back to your shop and exchange the entire unit?
