Faulty K2579

:confused: Dear Sir.

I make the timer K2579 but when I turn the trimmer to the left then the relais is very sort ON (0.2 sec).
But when I turn the trimmer (time ) a very small to the right then the relais stay ON for a long time (20 sec).
I need this timer for only 2 to 5 sec.
What did I wrong.??

You did nothing wrong.
Because this is a 0-15 minutes timer, it is very difficult to set it to 2…5s.
The adjustment is too coarse for such timing.
If you replace the trimmer with a 47K type, you will get better results.
