Faultfinding an I2C databus

Hi all,

I have just got the HPS140, liking the look of the 40MS/s.

I a trying to read the bits on an I2C databus but it keeps missing the first few. I have set the trigger what I think is properly, on falling slope etc, but the display starts halfway through a byte. It will not let me scroll left on the x-axis.

Any idea what I can do to display the first few bits on the initial trigger?

Thanks,

Si

There is a small delay in time between the trigger point and the point where the unit starts displaying samples, due to the fact that some code needs to be executed when a trigger event is detected. This could be the cause of the problem.

I have a 50’s Fender amplifier with 2x 6L6 tubes, and I would like to adjust the bias visually with the oscilloskope, is that in anyway possible with the HPS140?

It depends on the kind of signal.
What is the max frequency and level of the signal you would like to measure?
