Fan blow direction

Hi all,

I recently finished building my K8400 printer. One thing I find surprising is that the bottom plate fan blows downwards. Is this correct? I checked the wiring and positioning to the manuals images thrice, and everything looks the same.

advice is much appreciated!!

Yes the fan should blow down.
This is so it can keep the control board cool
Some have made covers for it to blow more air across it.
