Extruder won't heat up

Hello,

My extruder won’t heap up. Everything seems ok, repetier shows the room temperature and the temperature changes when I put my finger on the NTC. Wiring seems also ok. What could be the problem? A few weeks ago it was working. Please help me!

Any error messages in the log?
Does the LED of the extruder heater switch on if you try to heat?
If so:
What voltage do you measure across the outermost pins of the Heater terminal when the heater is unplugged but heating?

Yes, the m999 error sometimes. At the moment i cannot measure the voltage, but I can in a few days. There is also a new problem now… I can’t move the x, y and z axis, but homing the axis does work. Sometimes the heating does work, but when it does it is printing terrible products.

Did you change anything or move the printer before the problems occured?

nope, after four weeks of vacation I came back and the problem occurs. Before my vacation everthing worked fine.

Then i would check the power supply and it’s wiring.
A bad 15V input can cause all sorts of weird problems.

Screws on the screw terminal tight?
No bent strands of wire that posibly cause shorts?
Solder joints of the screw terminal ok? (mine had a bad solder joint and that intermittently caused lots of trouble)

Oke I will check all those things when I have a volt meter. Would it help if I reinstall the drivers?

When it does heat up, the temperature seems also unstable. It goes to 200 degrees and then it goes to 190 degrees.

Check if your Hotend thermistor is corretly insulated against the heater block and if it’s securely installed in the right place.
Also check the thermistor wiring for bad solder joints or bad contacs at the controller plug.

I have bought a new NTC thermisistor. Now it prints, but the prints are very bad. It looks likes there is something wrong with the extruder.

It looks like there is not enough material coming out from the extruder.

Could it be something in the software? The strange thing is that I changed nothing and when I came back from vacation the printer was acting strange
