i have build the 3d printer , motors are working, bed will heat but the extruder will not heat . Measred the wiring ; is oke. ntc thermo was measered oke
if i put the heating of the bed on heater 1 it will also heat
what can be the problem?

broken board ? short circuit with ntc & extruder ?
Is the software showing room temp for the extruder?
software shows room temp
If the bed heats up when connected to the heater port 1 the board looks ok.
Have you checked the heater element itself? Measure the resistence?
Could be a bad heater element. Or something wrong with the wires.
i am not real good with electronics . I cheqed the wires with the multimeter they are oke . If i measere the heater block {200 ohm] i get a value of 7. Ido not know if it is right. When i measere the ntc thermistor i get a value of 135 ,when i put it in the board i get a value of 6,5 [maybe that is normal}
Can i test the thermistor by putting the thermistor and heating block in heater 2 and therm 2 and heat op the bed?
Check for voltage at the wires of the extruder while it is on is on
The thermistor sounds like it is working
i cheqed by the wires of the extruder . it get 0 voltage ialso measered the bed that was 15 voltage
i measered the voltage . at the printboard it was 15 at the end of the wire it was zero ithink it must be the plug to the printboard that is wrong
cause imeasered te wires and they were good thank yoy
i will let you know if it is solved
I should have said this before
Check the voltage at the board
If you have voltage while the heater is unplugged the board should be OK
If you plug the heater to the board and the voltage drops to zero then the wiring may have a short
Does the led for the heater turn on?
Sorry it took so long to get back to you
The wife wanted doughnuts
Lol
changed the plug to the board and it works did not expect the plug to be wrong
do not give the wife to much donuts
thanks
Hello,
I have a similar problem as van zanten has with my K8200 (I bought & build it recently). What I have checked so far:
The conclusion: Perhaps the board is not okay? As to me it seems the wiring is ok. So what could be wrong with it? And what should I do about it?
does the bed “heat led” switch on if the bed is disconected?
