We are trying to load the filament into our 3d printer. It’s 1.75 PLA plastic. The extruder seems to stay around 177 degrees. I saw it jump to 180 briefly only to go back down again and again. What are some reasons for this?
Too much cooling : see your other post…
Also check the placement of you thermistor.
We were able to reduce the fan speed and get the extuder to 210 degrees. However, the golden tip that attaches to the beige perferated tube keeps disconnecting. It seems to have melted the beige tube and the threading on the golden head was blocked with a combination of the beige tube and the black pla plastic. The pla plastic keeps pushing off the golden head now and we are unable to proceed. Is this a common issue?

Only way to solve this is to replace the PEEK tube (check the reference in the manual and write a ticket to Velleman).
